Awana – a vacation to remember…

Refer : http://www.awana.com.my.

It has been almost 2 years since my last stay cum weekend getaway in Awana Genting Highlands, but the sweet memory is still fresh on my mind.

3 of us - special pose in the lovely double deluxe room!

There are a number of things that I love most about Awana Genting Highlands – the cool ambience, tranquility, serenity, fresh air – all are simply perfect for my relaxation on the weekend; indeed an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life in KL…

The fact that the hotel is nestled just a very short distance away from KL is an advantage for those who are looking for not-too-far weekend escapade ( well..actually it is roughly 45 minutes drive from my home in Gombak to reach Awana Genting Highlands!)

me & my lil darling!..

I still remember – there was ample parking space in the hotel to cater for the guests, the check-out process was smooth – as smooth as refreshing breeze - the staff are friendly and courteous..

My hubby posed with our lil boy in front of the hotel building

The best part is, my boy, my hubby and I myself of course love the spacious, cozy Double Deluxe room – and the nice, breathtaking view from our room that we stayed was simply marvelous!! To know is to love…so we fall in love with Awana Genting Highlands!

As a food lover, I found that the food and choice of cuisine at the hotel is delectable! We had our buffet breakfast and dinner and the Rajawali Coffee House, while enjoying fresh mountain air. We purposely chose to dine at the balcony – it feels like an alfresco dining on the highlands!

Pic taken at nite - the view from our room..

Hence, based on my experience, I truly believe that Awana Hotels and Resorts do offer value for money in terms of accommodation and facilities, at a very affordable rate. The hotels are all located at a very strategic tourist attraction (Awana Porto Malai Resort on Langkawi Island, Awana Kijal on the scenic East Coast beach)..

We hope to stay in Awana Porto Malai as we plan to have our romantic vacation to remember in Langkawi (in conjunction of our 5th wedding anniversary) by end of this year, hopefully! And its gonna be even unforgettable and memorable if we could win one of the 3D2N holiday packages offered by Awana in their contest “Rediscover Freedom with Blogs Contest” which runs now until 10th Feb 2009!

Till then,
